Specialty Fountains has simplified this process by offering our standard pools available in a variety of shapes, sizes, details and up to 50 different cast concrete colors. This is achieved using our unique cast in place fountain pool wall system. You may arrive at an approximate cost by selecting a fountain pool size and fountain statue that is complimentary. Keep in mind that the fountain statue must be in scale to the pool selected in order to control splash and loss of water due to high wind.

In addition to fountain statuary, there are many different types of water displays utilizing fountain spray jets. These may include foam jets, spray rings, clear stream jets or any number of jets in combination.

Other design/cost considerations include total horsepower of recirculation pumps and total wattage of underwater lights. You should also keep in mind access and distance to water and electrical supplies. Always consult a licensed electrician and plumber and follow all applicable codes. Make sure power supplies have ground fault circuit interrupters ( G.F.C.I.) and water supplies have a backflow preventer.

Proper lighting of the water feature is critical to the finished product. Underwater lighting of the fountain/pool is often the smallest part of your overall budget. It is also the most dramatic part of your fountain. Most commercial fountains require 115 v. quartz halogen underwater lighting while most residential fountains may utilize low voltage underwater lighting.

Cast in place Fountain Pool Specifications:

The fountain pool is comprised of 3500 p.s.i. concrete with integral color add mix.
Standard colors are gray, white, bone and ochre buff. Other colors are available upon request. The fountain slab is reinforced with # 3 steel rebar at 12" on center.
The pool wall is reinforced with # 3 steel rebar for pools at 12' diameter and larger and heavy fiber reinforcement for smaller pools.
Typical water depth is 12" to 18".
Waterproofing is with CIM black liquid elastomeric rubber membrane.
All concrete materials are treated with Protecrete CDS concrete densifier/primer.
Pool wall detail is owners choice of A, B, C or D.

Most electrical requirements are less than 20 amps at 115 v. with G.F.C.I. protection. Commercial applications can be much higher.
Water makeup is with mechanical waterline float mechanism.

Warranty on all materials and services provided Specialty Fountains is for a period of one year from date of completion excluding light bulbs. Specialty Fountains does not warrant its product for damage beyond its control such as freeze/ thaw damage or improper installation. Care should be taken during winter months if you are in a hard freeze climate. It is best to drain you fountain and winterize.
